Best Classic Arcade Games
Bubbles, blocks and bombs with short levels and simple controls.
The classics, still free to play
Good arcade games have a certain feel. Short levels, simple controls, one more try. That is what this group of free online games collects, and the titles people play most here are HTML5, so a phone handles them fine.
Bubble Shooter is the clearest example. Bubble Hit and Bubble Woods are variations on it, and the full set is in Bubbles. Tetrollapse is for fans of falling blocks, along with the rest of Tetris. Bomb It 5 drops you into a maze where you blow up walls and rivals with bombs, the old Bomberman formula.
The Fireboy and Watergirl temples also sit here, including Fireboy and Watergirl 3 in The Ice Temple. Two more categories are worth a look. Zuma has the rolling ball chains and Clicker Games is for people who like watching numbers grow.
Frequently asked questions
Which arcade game should I open first?
Bubble Shooter is the most played in this group and needs no explanation. For a maze battle with bombs, go for Bomb It 5.
How do you play Bubble Shooter?
Aim the shooter and fire a bubble into the pile. Three or more touching bubbles of the same color pop, and clearing the board wins the level.
What is a Zuma game?
It is a shooter where your targets move. A line of marbles keeps sliding forward, and each shot you place that forms three of one color knocks a piece out of the line.
