2048 Merge borrows the spirit of the famous number puzzle but changes the rule. Instead of sliding pairs together, you arrange blocks so that at least three similar ones meet, and then their figure increases. You are playing for a score big enough to reach the charts. It belongs to our Numbers section.

Math skills get a workout, although what it really asks for is tidy planning. 2048 Merge is free, and placing blocks with a finger on a phone feels natural.

🎮

Growing the numbers

Blocks arrive one at a time and you choose where each goes. Put three or more equal figures side by side and they fuse into a single block with a higher figure. That new block can then join others of its value, so good placement leads to chains of merges. Space runs out if you scatter numbers, so keep the board organized.

💡

Planning bigger merges

  • Build in one corner so new high values stay near each other.
  • Place a block next to a pair of the same value only when you are ready for the merge.
  • Keep at least a few empty cells, a full board ends the game.
